Scrum and Scrum Master

The techniques used in Scrum are not new, but they do require a 'new' approach, attitude and mindset compared to the traditional way of thinking about product development. "Easy to understand but difficult to master" is one of the opening lines of the ‘Scrum guide’ (© Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland - Nov 2020), and it is this skill of 'mastery' that Northern Project Management can help you with.

• Scrum Workshop – a one- or two-day workshop to help you understand the 'inner workings of scrum'
• Scrum Master certification – a two-day workshop culminating in a globally recognised certification (accredited by the Agile Business Consortium– one of the original pioneers in the agile world)
• Product Owner Workshop – a one- or two-day workshop covering who the Product Owner is, what they do when maintaining a Product Backlog and how to write effective user stories and requirements.

PRINCE2^® Workshops

PRINCE2 is now the ‘de-facto’ project management standard in both the UK and Europe. The majority of training organisations offer the following:

We are happy to further provide a consultancy service, including:

PRINCE2^® Agile Workshops

First released in 2015 and, as of early 2025, now updated and marketed as version 2, PRINCE2 Agile® attempts to blend the processes, techniques, and ideas of ’classic/waterfall’ PRINCE2® within an environment that delivers its project solution or products in an ‘incremental and iterative’ way—that is to say, ‘agile.’

Project Management Institiute (PMI)

The American-based Project Management Institute with its CAPM and PMP certifications can be a challenge even for experienced Project Managers.

We can provide guidance on everything from the application process to workshops on the knowledge areas and individual chapters of the ‘PMBOK Guide’.
